Hey everyone,
With the summer just about coming to an end it's time to get things together for finding a job. With that I've decided that after five long years of being Riyoku Katsuhara I need to change my account so I can carry my design identity. I will still be doing the same art, and I'll be sure to answer all my messages here before I close out the page.



I will be moving my favorite pieces from here to there and probably dumping the rest. So my first dozen submissions will probably be repeats XD

Hey everbody,
how goes the summer? So I have one week until AI, and there's only one captain left in my "Bleach Captain" series. I am letting the spoiler out that it is going to be the captain of Squad 1, which I will explain more once the pictrue is done. If I get them done before Thurs. I'll be spending the rest of my time doing another comic similar to the "Jenova Family Reunion". I will have a table at AI next weekend so be sure to stop by, I'll have anime prints avaiable, copies of my doujinshi, "Enforcers Paranormal", availible and I'll be doing anime skecthes for $1 a person/character.

I'll be in costume on Sat. so don't be araid to approach the dressed man at the table, unless it's a dark link, then run like hell! After all of my free time will be devolted to finding a job for fall and working on my Raiden cosplay with before I move away. I have a set list of places I'm looking to wrok but I'm always looking for more. So if any of you know of any places I might have missed feel free to let me know.

So yeah my summer hasn't been doing so well recently. It's been a horrid month for me and technology; my PS3 broke, along with my phone and computer. My new PS3 should be here this week and my computer is being fixed right now, hopefully. As for a phone, I should have anew one next week. So i've been spending my free time sketching and gather supplies for my Adell cosplay for AI. I don't know if I'll have a table there because I sent them money back in May and they're not returning my emails, so I'm kind of worried.

This is not loooking to be a good year for me in the upcoming AA's. Aside from that, my website is just about done and I'm just about done with the sketches for my latest sketch series. Stay tuned, goos things are to come.

So summer’s here and wow, a lot going on with me. First of all I have two summer jobs right now; I work days at a marina doing maintenance and rentals, while 3 of my evenings are bartending at local super club. Most of my extra time is being spent re-working my website, because personally, I hate it but I needed a live site for graduation. While I can feel my body already draining from shifting my sleep schedule I know it's going to help me get money for the con season and moving to Minneapolis. Speaking of the con season I seem to have three costumes lined up, first, as some of you know, I'm attempting Raiden from MGS4, Christ I can feel my bank account draining from that one already.

Secondly, I’m trying to convince my sister to dress with me for AI so we can go as Adell and Flonne from Disgaea 2. Yeah Rozaline makes more sense, but Flonne fits her body type better and I'm not a sewing mastermind either. Finally, my anime club wants me to be part of a group cosplay, BADASS. I say this because I don't even go to the campus anymore; I felt a tear welling up when they asked me to join. Anyway, we've already chosen the anime and characters but I’m not saying anything because I kind of want it to be a surprise.

It was pretty much KAS asking me to join that was the final push to get a job before I move out this summer. So thanks KAS, once again you got my life back on track! I'll try to get some work out soon, hoping to have Bleach Captains done by July.

ACEN
Alright, the post con journal, let's do this! So ACEN this year was pretty good, I had a nice hotel, the drive was good, if not paranoying, WE FINALLY GOT TO DO A SKIT after two long years of trying, I got into the artist alley, got to see some friends I normally don't, met the guy from VG cats, etc, etc. It was good, I guess if I had complaints it would be the following; we forgot to get food, parking garage fees, the masquerade went on too long, my AA table was crap, and it was cloud (aka, bad cosplay shooting weather) nothing too serious so I'm not letting it bother me.

Graduation
Now graduation, so I graduated last weekend and it was really sad. I missed out on the Graphic Designer party because of ACEN, so I really only got to interact with people at my senior show and the people who were sitting next to me while we waited for diplomas. After which I was promptly broken away by my family so I wasn't even really able to get pictures with any of them We do have a Facebook group and I know a lot of them are going out to Minneapolis, which is where I'll be going come fall. So hopefully I can bump into some of them out there, or maybe end up working with them.

Beyond
After I move back home for the summer I'm planning on doing a lot of stuff. First of which is getting a summer job, my family's been really helpful getting me application while finals rolled around and I'm hoping some of the places will return my calls. Secondly, I'm going to try for an internship working with a local photographer who does all the senior photos at my high school. Third is applying for jobs out in the cities, and to do this not only do I have to get my website in better shape but I have to redo my shipper. I really hope I can find a job out there because it would be nice to be around the friends and family I have out there.

Aside from that there are three things I want done by end of summer:
1) MGS4 Raiden Cosplay
2) My novel, Enforcers Paranormal
3) My Japanese Learning Software(s)

On a different note, I may be going to Anime Iowa this year. I just have to check my funding to see if I can afford it. I'm also trying to convince my little sister to come since she missed out on NBC this year and was really happy to hear how many people like her Yachiru from last year. If we do go together we're going to do Disgaea 2, with my as Adell: [link] and her as Flonne: [link]
