You know, it takes quite a bit for me to make fan art of an original character, so, yay to you SquareEnix! Oh Star Ocean, you always have weird named characters and an ungodly long story, but you make up with it by having awsome characters and a fairly interesting story. I've played through this game twice now, and I hate the fact that Albel really doesn't have and bad ass heavy hitting moves like Fayt and Cliff, just a lot of pokey MP striking moves which don't do much when everyone attacks are mainly HP based...sorry, nerded off their for a minute.

About the picture, I'm starting to like not over do-ing a light source, very nice. Also, I do have to give thanks to [link] for his brush download. I used it on the background and the grainy overlay, so thx for the useful tools :D

He seems a bit skinny for a male, but your shading is very good. I like the texture on top. I would suggest adding more detail to the eyes.

I wanted to keep the eyes simple and piercing, but I guess I can see where I could have added a little shading. Other than that I think it would inhibit more than help.

It took me a second to recognize him...but not because this is bad...no this is awsome...I hadn't played that game for a year (blames her homework for that). Very nice. You really got his personality down well! The expression is great!

Thx, Albel is always in my party no matter what, but it really blows that he doesn't get any bad ass special moves. All his "good" moves hone in on MP and later in the game, unless your whole team is the same way, he's counter productive to the fight. Never the less, he's still awsome :D

that he is, I did the same thing with keeping him on the same team. I noticed the same thing actually wit the MP but in the end I mangaed, I should really go back to playing that sometime soon.
